US carrier in Israel: The USS George H.W. Bush docked near the Haifa port yesterday. The ship arrived at the Israeli port to take part, and boost the ongoing war against ISIS, raging in Iraq and Syria. The ship is expected to launch attacks against the weekend ISIS caliphate, and to assist in rooting out the terror state from the middle east.
The docking of an American Navy carrier at an Israeli port is very rare, the last time it occurred was 17 years ago.

Aside from strategic location, the ships arrival to this part of the middle east is monumental and signals the deep cooperation between the U.S. Navy and the IDF; a relationship based on shared values and interests.
As part of the ships deployment in Israeli territorial waters, Israeli naval commanders will be visiting their American counterparts on the U.S. carrier, and strengthen the already deep relationship between the two Navies.
The George H.W. Bush, measures 1,092 feet, and displaces 100,000 tons of water, making her one of the world’s largest ships. Her top speed exceeds 30-knots, and she is powered by two nuclear reactors enabling her to stay at sea for 20 years without refueling.
The ship is manned by over 5,000 sailors, from marines and pilots, to engineers and navigators.
It’s still unknown for how long she will be staying in the region.
