Chareidi Organization Takes-Out Reformers Campaign On Secular Marriages

Reform organizations operating to undermine the Chief Rabbinate in Israel have initiated a blitz of posters calling on people not to get married through the Rabbinate.

In response, dozens of Chareidi Rabbanim under the banner of the ‘Benoam Danieli’ organization leveled a decisive and appropriate response to the reform campaign.
According to Israeli law, all marriages in Israel have to be officiated by the Chief Rabbani. The marriages are performed Kedas ve’kedin according to traditional authentic Halacha.

The reform campaign under the banner of “there are alternative marriages to the Rabbinate” called on people to google the words “Chatunah Shava”, meaning equal marriage. The purpose was to have people enter their website and be exposed to poisonous slander and propaganda in order to undermine traditional genuine Jewish marriages.

But before dozens of secular couples had a chance to fall for the trap and marry without a proper chuppah and kidushin. ‘Benoam Danieli’ acted fast and preempted the reform campaign by launching their own campaign under the same words- “Chatunah Shava”- thereby destroying the reform campaign before it even got off the ground.
By googling the words “Chatunah Shava” searchers came across the website of “Benoam Danieli” which clearly explains the significance of a Torahdik wedding according to Halacha.

The quick and brilliant action of “Benoam Danieli” to direct browsers to their own website instead of the reform website, impeded the reform campaign which was heavily relying on people accessing their site for instruction and encouragement on alternative marriages.

Founder of “Benoam Danieli” R’ Yisroel Meir Riani commented on the campaign saying, “those organizations spent hundreds of thousands of NIS to get as many secular couples as possible to want an alternative wedding, but at the last second we succeeded with Siyata Dishmaya to prevent them from advancing the move that would have undermined the foundations of Halacha”.

R’ Riani explains that this is not a rare occurrence, rather, “on a daily basis reform organizations try to ruin the marriage system of the Chief Rabbinate in Israel. We fight them day and night to save more and more couples. This time in our struggle – millions of NIS that were invested in their campaign will help us expose our project to the residents of Israel.
