MK Gafne Proudly Sates: Economic Growth Is In The Merit Of Lomdei Torah

Despite the economic reform which finance minister MK moshe kachlon is advancing, and despite other reforms that are being initiated by Health minister MK Yackov Litzman, Head of the finance committee MK Moshe Gafne expressed much optimism this morning over the growing economy.
Not shying away from his beliefs, Mk Gafne proudly announced that the economy in Israel is flourishing, and that is thanks to the lomdei Torah.
In a hearing held by the finance committee this morning, MK Gafne opened his remarks by saying, “the state of Israel is not a state that produces cans of beer…. we are a society that has strong and weak, there are healthy people and handicapped people, there are young and old. There are suburban areas, and there are metropolitan areas, we are a very diverse society”.

Referring to the economy Gafne said, “I bless the government and the finance minister for the current budget that they have availed. It is a reality way farther than what was anticipated”.

Although there are non-religious elements who work with Gafne, he proudly stated, “of course I have my own opinion on the matter and I can prove it historically. When there are Jews in the state of Israel that study Torah the economy flourishes. I can prove it throughout the whole way”.

Gafne went on to quote a miraculous example, “I said this also during the 18th Knesset, there was a plunge, the world economy crumbled, and here in a state that is surrounded by enemies from all sides, and a large part of its budget goes to defense- she is successful. Today we see it too, the economy is growing unemployment is going down…”
