Rabbi of Arad: “Chillul Beis Haknesses is not political issue, and must stop immediately”

Storm over Chillul Beis haknesses in Arad: Rabbi Yosef Albo, issued a special letter condemning the chillul beis haknesses, and denies that he backed the mayor over the matter.


The Rav writes: "I am saddened by rumors that say I support the mayor about the harassment and disturbances of Mispallelim in the main Ashkenazi shul in Arad…”.
"Far from me to say that, rather, the opposite is true - the desecration of a shul and disturbance of misspalleim on Shabbos is not a political issue, it’s an Halachic matter and is absolutely forbidden”.

The Rav added, “our sole intention in the city is to be Marbeh kvod shomayim, to be magdil Torah and spread Yirat shomayim. Chillul Beis haknesses has to stop immediately”.
As previously reported a group of people supposedly aligned with the ‘Yesh atid’ party, stormed into the Main Beis Medrish in Arad last Shabbos, with a blaring radio. The incident caused tremendous uproar all over Israel and possible demonstrations that will take place next week.
