Stabbing Terror Attack In Yerushalayim

An Arab terrorist carried out a stabbing attack in Yerushalayim's old city earlier today. One policeman was lightly wounded, the terrorist was shot and seriously wounded, he later died in the hospital. A 14-year-old Arab was also allegedly wounded in the incident.

The terrorist apparently came from the direction of Shar Shchem to the hospice junction, where he noticed two police officers patrolling. He approached them, and stabbed one of the policemen in the head with a screwdriver. The officers quickly responded and neutralized the terrorist.
MDA transferred the wounded officer, in his forties, to Sharei Tsedek trauma center. He was lightly wounded and was suffering from multiple stab wounds. In addition, a 12-year-old boy, resident of East Jerusalem was treated at the scene for head injuries. At the moment, it remains unclear how he sustained his injuries.

Dozens of policemen rushed to the scene including a bomb-sapper to ensure that the terrorist was not wearing explosives. only after confirming that he was indeed not wearing explosives was MDA allowed to treat and transfer the terrorist, listed in critical condition, to the hospital.

Ram Naimi, a MDA paramedic who treated the injured officer said: "We saw a man in his thirties walking around fully conscious, with a stab wound to the upper body. We administered medical treatment, then transferred him to Sharei Tzedek hospital in light and stable condition. People standing nearby brought us a young Arab boy suffering from head wounds, which he claimed he received from the terrorist. We bandaged him up and transferred him to Sharie Tzedek Hospital”.
