Historic times in Visznits: Yesterday(Wednesday) morning bulldozers started razing the Visznitser Beis medrish located in kiryat visznits in Bnei Brak. The entire Beis Medrish is set to be destroyed to make room for a much larger and more magnificent Beis Medrish that will be built on the same spot. The buildings demolition will be done in stages, starting with the front that was already teared down including the famous and nostalgic balcony where generations of Viszniter Rebbes stood at special occasions.
Some of the elder chasidim stood around with tears in their eyes, watching as the famous balcony was being taken down, not believing that their beloved Beis Medrish will be no more. The last tefillos to be held in the Beis Medrish is set to take place this Shabbos. Different groups will be learning around the clock as a form of parting from the cherished Beis Medrish.
The Rebbe is currently overseas raising money to cover the costs, which are expected to be at forty million dollars.
The May’mud hadlokas ner Chanukah will be held in the temporary Beis Medrish, erected across the street.
The Chasidus put out a pamphlet to the children of the Talmud Torah, notifying them of some changes that will be taking place near the Talmud Torah and encouraging them not to get in the way of the ongoing construction. The Rebbe reminded the children of the power Tinoks shel beis rabon have, saying that their teffilos are needed for the success of the project.
