Hamekubel Rav Kook Warned “Fire is Approaching”

Five months ago, it became publicly known that a pool was open on Shabbos in the city of Tsfat. A lengthy struggle ensued to stop the chillul Shabbos and have the pool closed. The story was covered at length here in “Bechadrei Chareidim”.

As the struggle was taking place, someone foresaw and even verbalized the wave of fires that are now burning out of control all over Israel.



Hamekubel Hatsadik R’ Dov Kook from Tveria came to the kever of Nachum ish gamzu with his talmidim. At the tsadiks kever he spoke harshly against the chillul Shabbos that was taking place and hinted that a fire is coming approaching.

Harav Kook said ‘’again a fire is impending! I don’t want to say, I am silent. I must remain silent because I am forbidden from saying what I am seeing. A fire to say the least!..I must remain silent because I can’t say, from Shomayaim they don’t allow me to talk”.
