Hoping For Rain: Belz Asking For Special Tefillah To Be Said

The Belz’r Beis Din, ‘Badats Machzikey Hada’t, issued a letter calling upon the tsibbur to start including the special tefillah of “V’anneinu Boreh Olam” in shemoneh esrey. The proclamation was issued because of the dry season with almost no rain falling thus far.
The letter issued and signed by the Beis Din says “since we are already at the end of Chodesh Cheshvon and the skies are withholding ‘Gishmey Bracha’ it is our duty to reflect on our actions and to cry out to Hashem Yisborach that he should open his Otsar Hatov and bestow brachos upon us…..and he will bless us with good rains..”.
The Rabbaonim write “therefore it is proper for everyone to add in the brocha of Shomeyah Tefilla “V’annenienu Boreh Olam” a tefillah which was originally instituted to say during a fast.
The letter is signed by Hagaon Rav S. Rosengarten, Hagaon Rav shapirah, Hagaon Rav Brand, Hagaon Rav Horowits, Hagaon Rav greenwald, Hagaon Rav Direnfield.
