Authorities identify suspect in New York explosions

The NYPD published a photo of Ahmad Khan Rahami, needed for investigating the Saturday night explosions in Manhattan de Blasio said on CNN. "He could be armed and dangerous," de Blasio continued, advising that residents stay alerted. In Elizabeth, New Jersey, on Monday, the FBI was performing a search warrant searching for evidence leading to the Chelsea incident.

An explosive device left near a train station in Elizabeth, blew up earlier on Monday when a bomb unit robot cut a wire on the instrument. The device, left in a backpack placed in a trash can next to a train station and a bar.

Five potential explosive devices tumbled out of the knapsack. After cordoning off the area, a bomb team used a robot to disable the device but accidentally set off an explosion.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that the investigation is centering on a person of interest in the case.
