How the Israeli Media Portrays Donald Trump

We haven’t yet forgotten the Obama-Clinton campaign, in favor of Hertzog’s election not so long ago here in Israel. Media interviews, millions passed over, and even the establishment of a subsidized body v-15, whose objective was to advise the Hertzog’s campaign party how to win the elections against the serving PM Binyamin Netanyahu and the Likud party.

Now, when the Clintons’ time has come, Hertzog can't help and so the Israeli media was drafted to the Clinton campaign against the republican candidate Donald John Trump.

Although we haven’t yet managed to recover from Hertzog’s false inauguration as the upcoming PM of Israel by the media, and already, that same media is inaugurating Hillary Clinton, too. Israeli channels slander Trump as opposed to the glorification of the brilliant woman, the righteous Hillary Clinton.

Other than the uncomplimentary, to put it mildly, articles, one cannot miss the words of derision, the unflattering pictures the article and show editors chose, and what stands out the most- the faces they don’t bother to hide every time the name Donald Trump is mentioned.

Israeli objective newscasting, did we say? Because it is important that we mention, maybe it will rise from the low standards they have hit in the past few years…

In the US the media leans very much to the left, with one big difference- Fox News network, a conservative right wing patriotic network, and unlike C.N.N., N.B.C., C.B.S., B.B.C., and others, who are running a campaign in favor of Hillary Clinton. Fox News, on the other hand, are not embarrassed to side with the republican candidate Trump, and as Fox gets higher ratings, it seems that the media here in Israel is bothered.

So I found myself hearing on the different radio stations and the different TV channels, slander against Fox News network and their hosts, a pretty pathetic attempt to ridicule the channel, and doubt cast upon their seriousness- all by the Israeli media, who know it all. For we should not forget, only people of the left are serious, people with rightest views are not really a matter to take into account.

And so, without you even noticing, a V-16 organization has been opened here in Israel, and the media went out on a campaign convincing us that Trump is a fool and falling through in the surveys. Those same surveys that inaugurated Hertzog not so long ago. So you’ll probably claim that the Israeli media only reports based on American surveys, but even so, that same American media reported based on Israeli surveys, which turned out to come out with a slight deviation in their actualization.

Here in Israel, there has not yet been found an alternative for the majority of the population who are sick of watching fully one-sided media, unbiased and bringing objective data. We thought naively that maybe channel-20 will stand up to the challenge, but quite quickly their rating percentages proved us wrong. Not because the people are not wanting for straightforward and relevant media that doesn’t add its own leftist views into every update, rather because channel-20 simply did not fight strong enough and decided to bourgeoisie itself.

And so the Israeli society, who so badly yearn for different media simply relinquished the screen. Many people tell me: “We just don’t watch television, don’t listen to the news, we hear the important news through WhatsApp and that’s that.” But the bigger problem is with a broader part of the society, who continue to watch channels that annoy them, continue to be upset and to scream at and to the TV screen, without anyone hearing, and then go to sleep bitter and wake up frustrated.

The demagoguery Donald Trump is going through on Israeli media, perhaps doesn’t bother too many people (because nevertheless there are some things that are more pressing and important to deal with than what the media is doing to Trump), but in my eyes, this is another stepping stone, on the way to the complete neutralizing the media managed to cause us, from the desire to stand up against what we accept from it.

We yielded, even gave up in a certain sense, and that is the problem. Because when this was done to us in the first elections, Bibi Netanyahu felt the need to stand up and say something drastic, such as: “The Arabs are streaming to the ballots”- to awaken most of his voters, and to wake up the Jewish nation as a whole. They awakened so thoroughly that many didn’t vote for the party they usually voted for, just so that the Labor party won’t be elected.

Meanwhile, until the PM reminded that there are elections coming up and that this is a decisive hour, we already and internalized the delegitimization from the media without noticing. So, they manage to turn on the smoke screen and make matters unclear to the public.

Donald Trump may or may not be elected, in any case, the people in Israel will not change the matter, but the thought whether or not he is a worthy candidate (as with many other important topics), it is important that you should judge for yourselves and not allow V-16 (in its many changing variations), decide for you.
