Australia: Yelled 'Allahu Akbar' and murdered

The attacker, 29, stabbed tourists in a hostel in the town in the state of Queensland in northeast Australia. The area targets volunteers working in agriculture.

The attacker, a French citizen stabbed many people and seriously injured a 30-year-old British man that was hospitalized in critical condition. Another Australian citizen was lightly injured.

While stabbing, the attacker yelled 'Allah Akbar' but the Queensland Police refused to determine that this is a terrorist attack. The police spokesman said: "at this preliminary stage, we can't exclude any motive; political or criminal. We are looking into the possibility that the attacker acted under the influence of drugs or mentally ill. At the moment it is known that the suspect was in Australia through a temporary visa and is not known to the authorities.
