The child was treated by Magen David Adom crew at the scene and brought to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in serious condition. The child suffers mainly head and face injuries.

"Bechadrei Charedim" learned that police found the vehicle parked in a side street behind an ambulance. The driver and another passenger - Two Jewish brothers from Sanhedriya, the third brother called the police. The suspects were taken for questioning at the Lev Habira station in Jerusalem.

A preliminary investigation of traffic police in Jerusalem indicates that the offending driver, 21, was in a car with his younger brother and another passenger whose identity is unknown. The three drove on Shmuel Hanavi towards Ramot and at the intersection of Bar Ilan, according to the first interrogation of traffic examiners, the suspect hit a child crossing the street at a crosswalk. The suspect fled the scene, parked in a hidden spot and went out later in the evening.

Magen David Adom paramedic, Dooidat Issa, who arrived in the mobile ICU said: "We saw a child with a serious head and abdominal injuries. while transferring him to the hospital I gave him life-saving medical care, anesthetic, and respiration"

Shalom Sananes volunteer at Ichud Hatzala said after Shabbos: "I was at the entrance of a Shul nearby when I got the call. When I arrived, I found a six year old injured. Together with other volunteers, We gave him first care. His condition improved over Shabbos, proving once again the importance of the prompt arrival of volunteers and immediate treatment. "
