The natural population growth in the city of Modiin Illit has led to an increased demand on classrooms for the city's high school girls. Instead of adding more classrooms to existing schools it was decided to open a new Seminar. A branch of the Yerushalyaim's Yashan was opened in the city. It was decided to add two classes of 35 girls each to solve the problem.
But the new school did not attract a large enrollment and only one class of 40 girls opened.
There are 40-50 more girls who have not received an acceptance letter from any school-although the Irriyah claims that according to their records every girl has been given a place in one of the city's high schools.
At this time it appears that although the Irriyah has given each girl a place in a school- the high schools themselves are not on board with the Irriyah's arrangements.
It is hoped that this mess will be sorted out shortly- perhaps once the Rabanim of the city become involved.
