Lone solider Killed Yesterday descends from the Chernobyl and Rachmastriva Rebbes
Shlomo Rindenow died yesterday when a grenade exploded, killing two soldiers and wounding three others. The lone soldier who came from America to serve in the Isreali army has some serious yichus.

His grandmother who is a Twerski is the daughter of the Rebbe of Machtiner zt"l and the cousin of the Skvere Rebbe. His father, Harav Mordechai Rindenow lives in New Jersey and wrote the well-known book about the Rebbe's of Chernobyl.
He is the fifth son in the family, all of whom volunteered in the IDF.
