Speaker of the House Paul Ryan called out Donald Trump Tuesday over a tweet he posted with anti-Semitic imagery in which he criticized Hillary Clinton.
The tweet read, "Crooked Hillary –Makes History!" The tweet shows a photo of Hillary against a background of 100 dollar bills with a six pointed star reading "Most corrupt candidate ever!"
Trump deleted the image which according to the ADL had been lifted from a white supremacist website.
ADL chairman Jonathan Greenblat said "It's long past time for Trump to unequivocally reject the hate filled extremists orbiting around his campaign and take a stand against anti-Semitism, bigotry and hate."
Paul Ryan said during an interview with WTMJ's Charlie Sykes ," anti-Semitic images, they’ve got no place in a presidential campaign. Candidates should know that …They've obviously got to fix that."
