Hundreds Protest Chillul Shabbos in Herzliya Friday
Hundreds of Jews from across the spectrum of religion come together Friday to protest the desecration of Shabbos in Herzliya.

Protest against Shabbos Desecration in Herzliya: The gathering was held on the grounds of the Beit Knesset Hagadol in Herzliya under the leadership of Harav Yitzchak Yechiel Yakabovitz.
The protest opened with the recitation of Tehilim by Harav Shalosh, the Harav Yakabovitz spoke and the crowd disbursed while singing songs about the sanctity of Shabbos.
City council member Moshe Vaknin said," We were happy to see that the chiloni community also participated in the protest. They came to express their displeasure over the wasting of communal funds with the running of public transportation of Shabbos…we will protest every week until they stop public transport on Shabbos. We will not let them break the status quo."
