Hundreds of people, including ministers, MKs, relatives and friends made their way to the ancient cemetery in Hevron to take part in the levaya for the holy Hallel Ariel, Hy”d who was murdered in the horrible attack in Kiryat Arba.
Hallel’s mother Rina, cried out in tears over her daughter’s grave: “Father, how does someone eulogize a thirteen and a half year old girl? Hallel’s only sin was that she was almost perfect. She didn’t want anything. Thirteen years ago, after many challenges and trials I had the merit to give birth to her. Since then, my life was filled with light. You turned me into a mother. I had the merit that Hallel made me a mother.
“Father, thirteen years ago you gave me a charge. I am returning it to You with love. Take it, Father, with love. Father, Your throne is too crowded. There is no more room. I beg of You: let Hallel be the last sacrifice. Hallali, Father, take her. Sarah Imenu, embrace her, for I can no longer touch her. Miriam, make room for her by the Holy Throne so Hallel can dance.”
The mother added with tears, “I did the best I could. Now I merit you, with Avraham, with Yitzchak and Yaakov. I returned her to you. My job is over. I appeal to you, the Arab mother who sent your son to stab. I brought up my child to love. You brought yours’ up to hate. The Eternal of Israel will not lie. We will continue and will not be broken. Islam will not win. Hallali, until we meet again, my sweetheart. Father, the consignment has arrived. I’ve finished my job.”
Mrs. Ariel ended her eulogy with “Shma Yisrael.”
