MDA Paramedic Treats Husband in Ambulance

After working the night shift as a nurse in the hospital, Shulamit Gilboa spent the day back in the hospital at her husband's side.

In an interview with the Woman's Lobby at Bechadrey Charedim Shulamis recalls the drama. "We were in the house when my husband who is a volunteer member of the Kiryat Araba citizen's patrol received an alert that there was a terrorist in the settlement. He grabbed his gun and ran to the Ariel's house which was an obvious target since it was somewhat isolated.

I forgot about my exhaustion. I had a bad feeling and so when I heard that two people had been wounded I went down to the main road. Just then an ambulance went by and Baruch Hashem I got on. I helped the personnel treat my husband. I encouraged him.

"I was very technical and didn't let myself get emotional. I have been through so much lately and treated so many wounded that I managed to stay strong for my husband.

"He is currently in danger of losing his eye. I'm asking Am Yisrael to pray for Yehoshua Chai ben Esther. He needs a lot of yeshuos and nissim."
