Judaism triumphs over the missionizing J's Witnesses, this Shabbos in Rishon Lezion. Over 1,000 Jews came to pray opposite the baptism ceremony in protest of the travesty of a group of Jews being brainwashed into joining Christianity.

The protest was organized by the city's rabbis, Yad L'achim and Lahava with the protesters conducting Shacharis at the entrance to the cultural center.

There was a strong police force present with several clashes between the protesters and police. Three protesters were detained and late released.

Bentzi Gupstein, Chairman of Lahava told Bechadrey charedim: "We won !Baruch Hashem we managed to stop the baptism ceremony in Rishon Lezion. Thanks to the presence of over 1,000 protesters we managed to infiltrate the baptism a number times as well as blocking the entrance. The police were subsequently forced to cancel the event."

According to Guptstein six elderly women that were brought to the cultural center to be baptized by their aids were not able to enter due to the protest. "Ashreichem Yisrael and a special thank you to Beit Knesset Achdus Yisrael, the gabaim, and two city council member Meir Akova and Moshik for all their help."
