Irving Moskowitz z"l, who had been a pillar support to many right wing mosdos and settlers died yesterday at the age of 88 in Miami. Moskowitz grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin the ninth in a Polish immigrant family of 13.

Moskowitz studied medicine and later built a business running hospitals. He was also involved in the business of legal gambling in Californina. He founded the Moskowitz Foundation which he created "to help people in need regardless of race, creed, politics or religion." The Moskowitz Foundation raises funds for Jewish housing projects in East Jerusalem through its bingo hall in Hawaiian Gardens. The funding is channeled through the El'ad and Ateret Cohanim organizations which work to create Jewish majority in Arab neighborhoods of East Jerusalem.

He and his wife Cherna had 8 children and over 40 grandchildren. The family also established the Moskowitz Prize for Zionism.
