The Prime Minister has dismissed the widespread panic that spread today over reports that the American government has refused to increase funding for missile defense.
According to the Times of Israel, Netnayhau has not denied the reports, but he said that American aid for Israeli missile defense will likely increase, not decrease.
The Prime Minister's office has released a statement saying "there is no cut in U.S. aid", just an internal debate between the White house and Congress over the size of the increase in funding for the missile defense program.
His office further said," Attempts to turn the dialogue with the U.S. into a domestic Israeli political tool are inappropriate, and all expressions of panic are unwarranted."
