The coalition criticizes tonight (Monday) the government's approval of a cease-fire with Hamas.
Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon said that "the consent of the Prime Minister for a ceasefire now would be a slap in the face to all residents of Israel and especially the residents of the South who were prepared to pay a heavy price for most significant achievements against Hamas. No cosmetics will embellish this bad mistake."
MK Ayelet Shaked: "A cease fire without serious harm to tunnels and missile system means capitulation. The nation of Israel is strong; the IDF is primed and ready; Hamas is on the boards. It's time to decide. Otherwise we will allow Hamas to intensify and reach another confrontation soon."
Minister Uri Ariel: "A ceasefire tomorrow in the current reality is a disgrace. It is clear that deterrence is not achieved here. Probably a resolution is a dirty word."
Deputy Education Minister Avi Wartzman said that "A ceasefire at present shows a weakness of the government. I call on Cabinet ministers not to support this error. Under these conditions one must resist a ceasefire which is good for Hamas and bad for Israel. We are residents of the South with patience until the decision of Hamas. A ceasefire now would produce a greater battle against the southern region and the entire country and launching of more missiles in a year."
