Last Shabbos, Rebbetzin Feige Esther Finkel OBM, head of the chessed organization Ezer Halbasha in the USA, died after a heart attack at the age of 74.
Spokesperson of Hatzalah said: "The woman felt ill while the siren was sounded, she collapsed on Menachem Meshiv Street in Jerusalem and lost consciousness, medics of Ichud Hatzalah Jerusalem performed advanced resuscitation and prolonged attempt to save her life after she apparently suffered a cardiac arrest. Unfortunately she was declared dead at the end of resuscitation efforts."
Yitzchak Noigershal, Hatzalah paramedic who was on the scene and performed CPR, relates to Behadrey Haredim: "The neighbors told that a woman from the United States felt ill due to the alarm and collapsed after she came down from the fourth floor to the second floor and looked out of breath, after walking into a family's apartment she collapsed, I and other paramedics performed prolonged resuscitation but unfortunately she was declared dead."
The deceased A"H was born to her father Hagaon Rabbi Yosef Dov Epstein zt"l of Mir Yeshiva U.S., she married Hagaon Rabbi Yitzchak Finkel from the U.S., who during the event was in mincha and was immediately summoned to the scene.
Acquaintances talk about an important woman who all her life dealt with chessed and headed the organization Ezer Halbasha, and was privileged to raise a blessed generation.
She came to Israel to participate in the yahrtzeit of the Ohr Hachaim Hakadosh, and was supposed to return to the U.S., but unfortunately she returned her soul to its Creator.
Her funeral was held on Saturday night at midnight Parshas Pinhas at the Shamgar funeral home and she was buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
Shiva is today until 16:30 at the Orlansky family on 4 Menachem Meshiv Street in Jerusalem and then in the USA.
May her soul be bound in the bond of life.
