Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky to southern resident "do not go home"

In the shadow of escalation on the southern front, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky told his disciples not to leave the place, but those who are now in the central region should not return home.

Tonight (Monday), Rabbi Chaim was asked how to proceed following the escalation of heavy rocket fire at the south.

Reb Chaim responded: "For now, those in the line of fire should not leave, but to concentrate on prayer and recitation of tehillim", however, ordered the residents of south whom are now in the central region not to return home until the situation is calm."

Reb Chaim stressed that the important thing is saying Tehillim.

However, the Gur Yehiva in Ashdod abandoned the city. The Yeshiva students were evacuated and were asked to return to their homes.

Heavy barrage of over sixty years rockets were launched from Gaza into all parts of the South, and in just ten minutes alarms in various cities and regional councils were activated. Sirens sounded in Jerusalem, Yehuda, Ness Ziona, Mazceret Batia, Rechovot and more. Three rockets were intercepted over Ashdod.
