A Rabbi from Florida discovered in a store for lost and found, seven pairs of tefillin and hence a story was uncovered of particular interest throughout the United States.
Rabbi Uri Pillikovsky of Florida who was on vacation in Alabama, came into the shop in order to buy cheap mobile phones. In the store he found seven pairs of tefillin and purchased them for $ 47 each.
The Rabbi said that he checked the tefillin bags and found in almost all of them some identification mark. He rushed to photograph the tefillin and post the photos on the social network. At least two thousand people inquired about the tefillin.
So far six owners of the tefillin have been found. One pair belonged to a person with the surname "Malka". The Rabbi recalled that a few years previously when he was on a Pesach holiday in the Ukraine, he met a man from Los Angeles by that name.
The Rabbi called him and told him that he found a pair of tefillin with his name on it. It turned out that the tefillin belonged to his father who served for many years as a cook with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The father left his tefillin to his grandson, the son of Yossi Malka, who celebrated his Bar Mitzvah that year.
But on Pesach that year the family went to Mexico and stopped for a transit at an airport in Alabama. The boy forgot his tefillin at the airport and the father who returned to search for them, did not found them.
Malka said that the loss of tefillin caused him much aggravation and since they were lost, he prayed every day to find them.
