Laughter from the law in Tel Aviv: supermarkets opened on Shabbos
Despite the decision of the Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar necessitated the closure of the shops on Saturdays in Tel Aviv - mostly remained open and were fined

Although the bylaw and the Interior Minister's decision requiring the supermarkets and kiosks in Tel Aviv to close the gates on Saturday, only a few have closed.
Most supermarkets remain open in Tel Aviv, and each received a fine in the amount of 730 shekels. Inspectors, warned shopkeepers, that if the stores will remain open, will take additional measures against them, including closure orders and legal proceedings.
Minister Gideon Saar sculpture amendment Auxiliary municipality sought to allow supermarkets operate on Saturdays but stores can convenience activities at petrol stations and in the port of Tel Aviv, Jaffa Port and the station complex.
The shops who remained open and absorbed the fine are AP: PM and Tiv Taam. Branches of AM: PM posted signs bearing the words "not pleasant to see AM: PM closed", and replaced the branch employees in their work uniform shirts bearing the same inscription.
After the announcement of Saar the Tel Aviv municipality made it clear that will fight against the decision and will file an appeal against the court, but after several days announced that it was decided not to appeal to the court.
Municipality still claims that they are exploring additional ways to fight the decision.
