Not only in the south, center of the country was tense on Shabbos, and thousands of Arabs rioted in Meshulash and Jerusalem to protest the murder of the boy Mohammed Abu Hader from Shuafat.
Masked men threw Molotov cocktails, stones and whatever came to hand at the security forces. Dozens were arrested.
Two officers were injured by stones on Route 65. Police arrested a man on suspicion of throwing stones.
Ramat Shlomo neighborhood of Jerusalem, near Shuafat refugee camp, there was an increased police presence during Shabbos, and the police were seen throughout neighborhood streets throughout Shabbos.
Police continue heightened alert level, especially in areas where disturbances took place during the past days.
