Discovery of kidnapped bodies creates shock worldwide. U.S. President Barack Obama issued a statement expressing his condolences in the name of the American nation to the families of Eyal Yifrach – Gilad Shaer and Naftali Frenkel, who was an American citizen.

"Pain, I cannot imagine the non - tolerable pain children's parents are experiencing," Obama said, "From the first moment I offered all our assistance to Israel and the Palestinian Authority in order to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice, and I encourage Israel and the Palestinian Authority to continue to work together to do so". Obama said. "I also call on all parties to avoid steps that will cause more instability," added the president, saying that "at the time the Israeli people cope with tragedy, the United States gives them the full support and friendship."

Even UN Secretary General Ban Ki - Mon condemned the murder of the boys and said that there was no justification for the deliberate killing of civilians. Statement issued by his office expressed the hope that Israel and the Palestinian Authority shall cooperate to bring to justice those responsible and called on all sides to avoid steps that will escalate tension.

British Prime Minister David Cameron condemned the kidnapping and murder of the boys and said that this act of terrorism is inexcusable. "He added that "London will stand by Jerusalem in its efforts to prosecute those responsible."

French President Francois Hollande strongly condemned the assassination calling it a cowardly murder, and expressed concern over the escalation of violence in the West Bank and Gaza in recent days. Holland also condemned the rocket fire and demanded both sides to refrain from violence.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio said: "We deeply mourn and yet are furious after learning about the tragic murder. New York City mourns along with the families of the victims."
