Bnei Brak: two year old fell from home window and seriously injured

Toddler fell from the window of a home on the third floor in Bnei Brak • bruised his head and was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital in serious condition

A toddler fell from a height of three stories on Rabbi Akiva Street in Bnei Brak and lost consciousness.

Rescue and emergency teams gave him first aid, and he was taken in a serious condition with multi-system injury, to Tel Hashomer hospital.

Zeevi Tepper, Hatzalah paramedic said: "When I got to the scene I was told by bystanders that the child fell from a window of a residence on the third floor, I and other paramedics provided initial medical treatment to the child was injured in the head."

Senior medic with MDA Rami Shapiro who was on the scene says: "In the backyard of a residential building, a toddler of two and a half was lying unconscious with head trauma, with the assistance of MDA drives I gave him primary health care that included fixation and resuscitation and then he was taken while sedated and on a respirator in critical condition to Tel Hashomer hospital by the MICU team who also reached the place."

Itzik Hajbi, senior medic Hatzalah Gush Dan, who treated the toddler says: "We have given medical care to the toddler who suffered severe multi-system injury after stumbling for a reason which is not yet clear, from window on the third floor."
