Seventh day of Operation 'Shuvu Achim' opened with a wave of arrests across the West Bank and an attack in Gaza.
This evening central prayer rallies will be held in Jerusalem, Bnei Brak and Monsey.
Following the fire of rockets last night (Wednesday) at the western Negev, IDF attacked five targets in the Gaza Strip. Air force aircraft attacked a cached launcher, terrorist infrastructure and center of terrorist activity in northern Gaza and two other terrorist activity centers in central Gaza Strip. IDF said that precise hits were identified at targets. Palestinian media reports indicate that three Palestinians were injured during the attacks.
The IDF arrested 30 wanted in the Western Bank, including two who were released in the Shalit deal. Forces searched about 100 homes and institutions linked to Hamas, especially in Hebron. A military source said that the Palestinian resistance is growing in the area, but is still not widespread. In the Jenin camp explosives were thrown at the forces, resistance was also in Bir Zeit and Bethlehem area. Since the beginning of Operation "Return Brothers" 280 wanted persons were arrested, including 53 liberated in the Shalit deal.
As part of IDF forces operations tonight, a raid was executed at Birzeit University north of Ramallah, a raid in the neighborhood of Ras al-Jura in Hebron, activity in Nablus and Ramallah, in Yatta village soldiers also raided the shops and searched.
The defense system is of the view that the hijackers of the three boys took the decision of the abduction after Khaled Mashal's speech who suggested three weeks ago on such activity in Qatar.
Conflicts were recorded in the village of a - Ram north east of Jerusalem, and soldiers scanned a number of cemeteries in settlements and in the Western Bank.
A few hours before the attack, a rocket exploded in Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. It fell between homes and caused slight damage to the building and swimming pool. Another rocket exploded in an open area. There were no casualties in the incident. Later a run-over attempt was carried out at the entrance to a military post near Bethlehem. There were no casualties. In response the IDF fired at the vehicle.
During the operation, which has two objectives, locating and return of the three boys who were kidnapped - Eyal Yifrach, Naftaly Frankel and Gil-ad Shaer, and damage to Hamas in the West Bank and the Hamas infrastructure, IDF and the Civil Administration closed 10 civilian institutions linked to Hamas, and which are used among others to finance the movement.
Among other things, the "Al - Aqsa" station, which belongs to Hamas, was shut down and offices of "Trans-media" in Hebron and Ramallah were closed down too. As part of preparations for a massive rocket fire following the operation, deployment of Iron Dome batteries were begun.
IDF Spokesman, Brigadier General Moti Almoz said yesterday evening, "I come here from the war room of the Judea and Samaria Division, to approve plans for the next night's operations. I saw the faces of the soldiers and commanders, all of which are faces of motivation, determination and desire to stand up to the task. So far we stopped explosives and collected weapons by day and night, throughout the area, in streets, ravines, alleys, in Cassava's, in every corner of Judea and Samaria. These activities will continue without restriction, with neither limit of time nor of means, everywhere."
Since the beginning of the operation over 240 Hamas activists were arrested, including more than 50 of those liberated in the "Shalit deal", and tens of wanted men. About 800 homes have been searched and about 10 operations against 'De'wah' targets."
Detainees released from the Shalit deal will be brought before the judicial committee of the State Attorney's Office and prosecutor IDF in the Judea and Samaria Area.
