Confusion in Williamsburg: young black man who was attacked and beaten by a group of avreichim, filed yesterday (Monday) a civil action against the attackers.
Taj Peterson who allegedly was beaten by five avreichim when he returned to his home at dawn, filed a lawsuit in a court in Brooklyn against the five and against 'Hashomrim'.
The five defendants are: Pinchas Braver (19), Yosef Fried (25), Meir Hershkowitz (21), Aharon Hollander (28) and Avraham Winkler (39) accused of assault.
In the indictment filed by the police a few months ago, it was argued that the five were chasing Peterson along Flushing Avenue in Williamsburg when he wished to return home.
The Yeshiva students claimed that Peterson harmed the cars of residents and they tried to stop him.
