The fight against the Beach abomination: Jerusalem Municipality fires back facing lawsuit demanding an apology from Yated Ne'eman newspaper that is published as the municipality is run by the complex at the same time the municipality claims it is not operating or the budgets included the compound.

In a letter on behalf of the Legal Department of the City of Jerusalem sent to the management of Yated Ne'eman the municipality said it is preparing a lawsuit against the newspaper, in respect of such reports that alleged desecration of the municipality operates Shabbos desecration at the compound, "not of any real and that this false smear words that constituted a violation of the Defamation Act."

Letter case against the newspaper said "a feature includes information which groundless and false, malicious slander aimed at the Jerusalem Municipality, the municipality's management and its leader."

Jerusalem Municipality also addressed specific allegations which the municipality is run Virtual Beach Area station compound, causing damage and theft on Shabbat. The letter clarifies the municipality initial claim that "the Jerusalem Municipality, the municipality's management and of course the mayor does not run, do not initiate, do not support and do not participate in any way in this activity."

According to the City Hall the complex is operated by a private entity that is not urban at all and there is no connection between the municipalities. "The activity planned for the station, which refers to the article, is the activity of the private investor in a private area, performed regardless of the Jerusalem Municipality, municipal management and its head. Binding activity to the municipality and the mayor is false and malicious."

The letter appears at the end of the municipality's demand for an apology for the newspaper article which appeared unfavorable, or be taken to court later. "We are dismayed to see the article's content, and falsely connection between the municipality and the mayor and private enterprise, and that this violation of the Defamation Act."

Yated Ne'eman newspaper responded that they have not received any letter.

A senior at Degel in response adds that "this is a media attempt of Barakat to purge the creep part, although the entire permit to open the enclosure was done by him.
