After five weeks, Mayor who was shot left Israel

Five weeks after he was injured critically and flown to Israel for medical treatment, Mayor of Kharkov Moshe Cairns left Israel last night.

Cairns flew to Germany to a rehabilitation center where he will be in the coming weeks and then return to Kharkov, to the mayor's office.

Recall five weeks ago vandals fired a burst of gunfire in Cairns back in a street in the city of Kharkiv, while out for a morning workout and an early swim. He was evacuated to the local emergency room unconscious and was put into operation. The doctors were able to stop the bleeding in his back and stabilize the situation.

Oligarch's friends flew in Israeli doctors who decided to transfer Cairns to the Elisha Hospital in Haifa for further treatment. Cairns airborne ambulance was flown to Israel and received treatment at a hospital in Haifa.

An interview with Ukrainian television Cairns said that if not for coming to Israel he would not have survived.

Last Sunday he went to visit the Seret Viznitzer Rebbe in Haifa and was blessed and visited Ramat Vizhnitz education institutions in the city.
