Formulated evidence against Eidan: bribery, fraud and money laundering

A year after the arrest of former Mayor Elad, Yitzchak Eidan, the police completed the investigation and evidentiary foundation formulated against him on suspicion of bribery, fraud and money laundering by former Mayor of Elad and others.

Lahav fraud unit squad 433 recently completed an investigation concerning suspicion of bribery, fraud and breach of trust and money laundering, by Yitzchak Eidan, former mayor of Elad and more involved.

As part of the open investigation, which began in May 2013 following the information collected, carried out searches at the town hall and at the suspects, seized various documents and interrogated many suspects and witnesses.

Suspicion centers examined in the affair, touched of a connection between Eidan, when he served as mayor, and a businessman resident of Elad in marketing and sale of residential projects in Elad, in which follow era to promote projects that benefit the business of that resident, while the latter received financial benefits.

Head of the Department of Investigation and Intelligence accepted the position of head of the fraud squad and the investigation team that found the evidence against Eidan, businessman and other offenses against them.

Investigation will be Central District Prosecutor's Office for review and a decision on whether to file charges.
