Hgr"s Baadani: "help bnei Torah in front of military authorities"

Gedolei Torah along with members of the city administration from the Shas party in Bnei Brak, gathered last night (Sunday) at the home of member of the Council of Torah Sages Hgr"s Ba'adani to discuss the Torah development of the city and all that pertains to the activity of delegates.

The meeting was attended by members of the Council of Torah Sages of the city, Hagaon Rabbi Shlomo Ben-Shimon Av Beis Din of Bnei Brak, Hagaon Rabbi Makhlouf Fahima, Hagaon Rabbi Shlomo Mahfoud and Hagaon Rabbi Zemach Mazuz.

Most of the conversation centered on the activities of members of the city administration, Shas representatives presented their activity in recent months, with an emphasis on public assistance and property tax reductions for married yeshiva students.

The Gedolei Torah were interested in the public applications office and, in view of their call and request of representatives several months ago to set up an office to which residents can contact and get a response to their needs.

During the meeting, Hgr"s Ba'adani aroused the representatives to take care of all Torah residents of the city who need assistance with the military. "There are boys who have problems with the arrangement in the recruit centers, and you, the representatives of the public, should help them with everything necessary - in order that Bnei Torah could continue learning Torah," he said.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Shas: deputy mayor Eliyahu Dadon and members of the city administration, Yigal Guetta, Dror Ben-Efraim, Gedaliah ben Shimon, Nathan Bezalel, Avi Partouche, Secretary of Council of Torah Sages in Bnei Brak Nati Nahum, and Director of the deputy mayor's office Yaakov Zechariah.
