Arad: A woman was seriously injured in an accident - was evacuated by helicopter

Serious car accident occurred this evening (Tuesday) in Arad: a woman of 20, in the Hasidic community, injured in a car accident and badly injured.

The accident occurred on Harob Street in the city when the woman crossed the road apparently at the crosswalks, and a taxi driving on the road hit her with great force.

Paramedics from the local Hatzalah branch gave her primary health care at the scene, and she was evacuated by helicopter to the hospital.

Hatzalah spokesman said: "The paramedics at the scene encountered a pedestrian crossing at the crosswalk was struck by a taxi.

"The woman suffered bruises in the head and all over her body and after initial treatment received by medics was evacuated and then transferred by helicopter for further medical treatment at the hospital when her condition is difficult."

The woman underwent surgery during the night and her condition stabilized. She passed a CT scan and is now operating room to drain the liquid. Her blood pressure is normal and stable and physicians are encouraged.
