New appointment at the Mir Yeshiva Jerusalem Rabbi Yaakov Shmuelowitz, the son of Rabbi Raphael Shmuelowitz and grandson of Rabbi Friedlander, head of Mir Yeshiva, was appointed as rosh yeshiva alongside colleagues serving in already.

Duties of Hgr"y: Saying general rate, and responsibility through learning and power. "

Proposal to appoint him raised a year ago, but Hgr"y – who is only forty-seven, did not agree because his father still functioned. Recall, Hgr"r came down a few years ago with muscular dystrophy, and yet managed with devotion to function and provide classes.

Last Thursday yeshiva executives went to Hgray"l Steinman and brought up the subject. Hgray"l decided that Hgr"y will take on the role of this immediately.

The new head of the yeshiva has served in the Yeshivat Derech Chachma - Silver in Har Nof, and in the afternoon served Mir Rosh Chabura. At this point, Hgr"y will give a general shiur in Mir once a month.

The public is requested to continue the prayers of his father, Rabbi Raphael ben Chana Miriam.
