Crisis: Yissachar BeOholecha, shut some kollels

Drama in the Torah world: Great overall network Yissachar BeOholecha, headed by Rabbi Elchanan Weisburd , announced with the start of summer time on the closing part of the kollel branches.

Network has thirty kollelim which are deployed in 17 Batei Midrash across the country, and has more than 1400 learners. Today (Monday) announced yeshiva students in some branches to close - due to the difficult economic situation.

Factor at the network tells Behadrey Haredim: "We reached a very difficult situation, which came to a boiling point. There has never been such a difficult situation in the Torah world in the past, on the one hand a sword is raised by the Government on the world of Torah, on the other also generous reduced amount of donations."

"We at the kollel network are doing our best to restore the situation to normal, but now the only option is to contract and tighten belts.

Network also includes Ateret Shlomo by Rabbi Sholom Ber Sorotzkin who announced the closure of branches in the study hall, Halichos Chaim, Bnei Brak and Ashdod, Tiberias and other branches. This includes cuts of 300 to 400 learners.

Modi'in Illit kollel, management was asked to filter and reduce at least a hundred yeshiva students to this Elul.

In addition Ateret Shlomo has not accepted new learners in any branch of the network as of early summer time.

More casualties: Rabbi Avraham Deutsch Ma'aleh Adumim had to close one kollel.
