Thousands of yeshiva students and avrechim attended the annual meeting tonight (Monday), of the organization Lev Le'Achim, at Armonot Chen Halls in Bnei Brak.

President of the Council of Torah Sages of Shas and Rosh Yeshivat Porat Yosef Hagaon R' Shalom Cohen also came to attend the event.

The line of speakers commenced with Ponevez Rosh Yeshiva Hgri"g Edelstein, reinforcing the organization's outreach activities .

Thereafter Hagr"s Cohen was invited to speak who was adorned with a title so far kept for Hagaon R' Aharon Leib only: 'Maran Rosh Hayeshiva'.

Other participants were: Hagaon R' Chaim Kanievsky, Hgrm"tz Bergman, Hagr"y Shiner, Hgrb"d Povarsky, Hagr"a Finkel, Hagr"y Edelstein, Hgr"d Yaffe, Hgrb"m Ezrahi, Hgrs"i Bornstein and more.

The final speech was given by Hagaon R' Aharon Leib Steinman: "One should think who are his fathers - Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov, and Avraham Avinu said, "I am dust and ashes", Yitzchak as if his ashes are on the altar. Haist dos - I mean a person should think always with such a maskona (conclusion), he should be dust and ashes, and is ready for messirus nefesh! His ashes are on the altar."

Two things are written here, and indeed there are other things among Jews, but these are the main things that a person needs to live for in the world, he can not just live... but he should think that he is ready to be ashes on the altar, and that he is dust and ashes.

A person lives with both of these conclusions, that is how one should think, how to live, he is willing to sanctify the name of Heaven, that his ashes should be on the altar, and that he is basically "dust and ashes". This is what we need.

"And that is what Yosef Hatzadik did, when he was already in a good state, he was a king, and first there were such tough situations he endured, they actually wanted to kill him, everyone knows what is written in the parsha, and now that he has reached the monarchy, he should know what his life is. That is how a Jew should live, he must think he is dust and ashes, and he is ready for martyrdom."

"Hakadosh Boruch Hu should help that every one will make it in this way, to think about his life, not he was not simply born, he came from Kise Hakavod (throne of glory), every soul of a Jew is from Kise Hakavod, so why did he come, to eat and drink and sleep? This is the goal? Was he sent from Kise Hakavod for this? What is his purpose - to be ready to sanctify the Name of Heaven, and that he is basically dust and ashes."

"And a person has to think to the point that if he has a son he should call him a name to remind him constantly of his aim in life, his main life is to sanctify the Name of Heaven, and not to think he is anything but dust and ashes."

"Hashem will help that we should learn to think this way, a man in this world is born not merely for things, not like non-Jews who are not like that, but Klal Yisroel - their purpose is to sanctify the Name of Heaven, and not to think that he is anything but dust. And this we need to go over again and again, to the point that he will call his child who was born, and certainly not forget it, to always think of this purpose."
