Vizhnitzer Rebbe amazed: "don't learn Chassidus"

The Rebbe of Vizhnitz surprised his followers and urged them to refrain from studying Hassidus books.

The Rebbe delivered divrei Torah at shalosh seudos in his Beis Midrash of Merkaz Hassidei Viznitz in Bnei Brak, which were aimed at yeshiva students, following his visit to the yeshiva dormitory in the morning when he found them sleeping in bed.

Consequently, last Friday night the Rebbe instructed that yeshiva students will not engage with holding the Tish and instead a group of avreichim and heads of the Hasidus was appointed to prepare the Beis Midrash for the Tish on Friday night.

But the first thing is Torah, and that should be strengthened even more.

There should be Hassidus here which is entirely Torah and every yeshiva student and avrech should strive to grow to be a magid shiur, a Rav, a Dayan, do not be afraid of pride, I have a special cheider for talmidei chachamim, I have experience in this. Even a Rav or Dayan and every other talmid chochom can be a chossid and prepare the Beis Midrash on Shabbos, o ne should not be proud because you already know to learn a bit."

Then the Rebbe instructed: "One should not study Chassidic books until Shavuos but only Torah, Torah, Torah. From here klei kodesh should come out, magidei shiurim, dayanim and rabbonim, I do not have to lend from others, I've been talking about Torah for a year and people do not hear my voice. This time I will not give up."
