Grandfather of the deceased Hagaon Rabbi Ben Zion Sobol eulogized: "I didn’t manage to say goodbye to him. On the seventh day of Pesach Meir came and ate Seuda Shlishis as is customary by the Hgr"a. Every mitzvah was fulfilled wholeheartedly.

After that his father Rabbi Shimon Kadar said goodbye in a broken voice and said: "I was hoping to speak good about you at your wedding, not here. You were always doing well, had good friends, and had contact with the Rosh Yeshiva and mashgiach. You were happy to learn. Hashem gave Hashem Took, May His name be blessed.

Following that Rabbi of the Kottel Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz eulogized him.

Following kaddish recited by the father the funeral left to Har Hamenuchos where he was laid to rest.
