Disaster: What exactly happened in Ein Muda spring?

Ein Muda is a shallow pool, suitable for children swimming right though - So how is it that the yeshiva student Meir Kadar z"l drowned? • Why did the deceased arrive at the hospital with a broken skull and how was it caused? • Why is the friend's version different from the police? • Police Commander Beit Shean is trying to explain to Behadrey Haredim exactly what happened in the pool of blood and had no real answers

Disaster: What exactly happened in Ein Muda spring?

The drowning of the yeshiva student in Ein Muda this morning (Wednesday), caused profound shock among the yeshiva students, and the Israel Police continue to investigate what caused the death of the young man.

It turns out that the answer is not simple.

This morning, the late yeshiva student, Meir Kadar 20, drowned, when he entered the spring. An initial police investigation indicates that not the jump into shallow water is the one that caused the death, but rather a twist attack which took place when the deceased was in the water.

His friends told the hospital doctors that Meir went into the water, and called on his friends to join him, saying that water is not cold. Then suddenly he collapsed and lost consciousness.

As to the water depth guide Yehoshua Lavi says that "There is a shallow and clear pool, suitable even for small children."

According to the hospital, the deceased came to the hospital with a broken skull and suffered from a lack of oxygen to the brain resulting from not breathing and drowning.
"He came to the hospital in critical condition," the Emek hospital said, to Behadrey Haredim, "without a pulse and not breathing. He had water in his lungs suggesting drowning, so the cause of death is drowning. We do not know at what point he broke his skull", said the hospital's doctors.

Beit Shean Police Station Commander Chief Superintendent Amos Shimoni, addressed the issue in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim and said that to his knowledge the version of the case is slightly different from that described by his friends: "These are four friends that slept at Ein Muda at night," he said, "the boy who drowned went swimming in the morning at around 5:30 , and only when he hadn’t returned his friends went looking for him and found him in the water unconscious , MDA were able to restore his pulse, but after the efforts of the hospital he was pronounced dead . "

With regard to cause of death Shimoni says that it's hard to know for sure by what the deceased was injured and what led to his death because the family objects to dissection and there is currently no fear of foul play.

"From what is emerging," he said, "the decease had an epileptic history, so he had a fit, and then broke his skull. Currently we are waiting to release the body, so that the family can bury their son as soon as possible."

After Meir arrived at the hospital, Emek in Afula, he was transferred to the Trauma Unit, where doctors gave him first aid, and then transferred to intensive care unit, where doctors have made great efforts to save his life.

Unfortunately, however, he returned his soul to its Creator, as parents, family members and close friends separate from him with great sorrow.

The funeral will leave the Shamgar funeral home at 21:30 to Har Hamenuchos. ת.נ.צ.ב.ה.
