Tragedy: Meir Kadar z"l
Bein Hazmanim tragedy: Meir Kadar z"l, the yeshiva student who lost consciousness at Maayan Ein Muda, and doctors fought this morning (Wednesday ) for his life - died at Emek Hospital at the age of 20.
- Moshe Weisberg, Behadrey Haredim
- כ"ד ניסן התשע"ד
The deceased went for a walk with his friends near the spring. According to friends, he lost consciousness during swimming, and after pulling him out of the water, they began resuscitation in an attempt to save his life. Later he was taken to hospital and Hgr"a Nebenzahl, Rabbi of the Old City, added the name Chaim to his name, but it had been decreed, and he returned his soul to its Creator.
Meir Kadar z"l was born in Jerusalem on 10th Av תשנ"ג to his father Rabbi Shimon Kadar and his mother Masha, a Marketing Manager at the Meuhedet Clinic.
"The tragedy is very hard," said his fellow students, students of Knesset Hagdolah in Modi'in Illit, who refuse to digest the news.
They tell Behadrey Haredim of a student who learned diligently, with fear of Heaven and who was close to his mentor and teacher Hagaon Rabbi Hillel Zaks. "This is a great loss, he will be missed by all," they cry.
"Since coming to the yeshiva Meir never went on trips. Now during Bein Hazmanim Meir went out for the first time, and the worst happened."
In addition to his studies at the yeshiva, Meir served as a leader at Yeshivas Maarva at the nearby Matityahu settlement.
He left his parents, sisters and brothers.
The funeral will leave this evening at 21:30 from Shamgar in Jerusalem to Har Hamenuchos where he will be laid to rest.
