Due to preparations for Passover - also U.S. Federal Aviation Authority is preparing for the holiday. On the occasion of the expected wave of pre-holiday days of ultra-Orthodox Jews who fly to destinations within the U.S. and abroad, Aviation Authority ( TSA) of the U.S. Federal gave special instructions to employees at airports scattered across the state, as part of a special run of preparing for significant travel days, after the Authority incorporated the days before Passover and Tishrei holidays as special days that require special consideration for Jewish passengers and their needs related to the commandments of the holiday.

Guidelines issued for Passover, the Authority indicated that some passengers may carry with them boxes of matzo that may break easily, and must remain integrity to fulfill the mitzvah of the holiday. In addition, the Authority states one should forehead with great sensitivity and maintain that they do not came into contact with other foods or substances not approved for Passover. Even in the case the need is identified to test a box of unleavened bread it must be treated with sensitivity and with due respect for commands.
"For many years, we have been getting many phone calls from Jewish passengers in distress who encountered various difficulties during travel, especially around the holidays," says Rabbi Abba Cohen, Agudath Yisrael in Washington who dealt with and was in co-formulation with Aviation Authority guidelines. "Now, there is more awareness and more knowledge as well as less fear and anxiety, in terms of Jewish religious items and practices. This is exceptionally important when it comes to flight passengers ".

"Agency was very sensitive to the needs of the Jewish community," Rabbi Cohen concludes, "and I should note and thank the Federal Authority for its efforts for that."
