"Anonymous" announced in recent days about an attack on haredi websites, and indeed from the morning (Monday) a number of sites fell, but this is not a great offensive as promised in the first place.
Among the sites affected, is ''Din" Ask the Rabbi (www.din.org.il). "From about 15:00pm, the site stopped working, and viewers can not read halachic responsa," says founder and webmaster Rabbi Yitzchak Wind.
He said the site is well secured, and immediately after the break he ordered programming team who are working long hours to return the site to work, but so far without success. Initially programmers did not manage to take the site down, but they overcame this barrier at this stage.
"The site has a database of over 60,000 questions and answers, the number is rising by the day. The site does not exist on advertisements, only donations, and with G-d's help we are going toward a major upgrade at a cost of NIS150,000 in the near future."
The schedule of the site's fall is also particularly bad, "Every Erev Pesach there are about 50-60 thousand people who sell their chametz through the site, an option which unfortunately is now blocked."
The Israeli Internet Association, which deals inter alia with Cyber war, contacted Rabbi Wind, and they try to help in the war.
