Accredited Day • What did Hassidim give to Rebbe?

For Yom Zakai (Accredited Day) the Rebbe of Boyan held tonight at the large Kloiz of the Hassidus in Jerusalem, a great event for the honor of Torah and those who study it, where major benefactors of Boyan undertook to pay for a whole month the kollel avrechim of the community, as a commitment gift to the Rebbe.

'Accredited Day' is actually the birthday of the Rebbe. Every year the Boyan community holds a big event on this day. In the previous year, for example, the community fund suffered a deficit of 2 million NIS debt to the yeshiva. These were a number of prominent benefactors who promised then to undertake the burden of debt and cover it.

This year too, a huge event was held, attended by among others, a dozen prominent wealthy men, each of them took it upon himself to pay one month out of twelve months of the year, the payroll for avrechim in the Boyan network of kollelim of Talpiot in Jerusalem - Beitar Illit - Bnei Brak - Kiryat Gat - Beit Shemesh - Modi'in Illit.

The distinguished benefactors, as stated, give their donations as a gift on the Rebbe's birthday.
Speaking at the event, the Rebbe said that on this day one should do some soul-searching and thank Hashem for all the goodness and grace that He has done us.

Every year, usually the Rebbe bakes his matzos for Pesach on 5th Nissan which is the day of ptirah of the Rebbe of Apta zy"a.

But since 5th Nissan falls this year on Shabbos, the Rebbe postponed his arrival at the Matzo Bakery in Beitar Illit for this morning, Sunday 6th Nissan.

''The Rebbe began his visit with shachris at the Kloiz in Mordechai Shlomo Hall in Beitar at the yeshivas bein hazmanim. From there he went to comfort the bereaved family of Shlomovitz, sitting shiva on the death of their mother a"h who died in the prime of life from the disease. The deceased's father, Reb Matisyahu Deitch, is among the most prominent Boyan Hassidim.

From there, he came to bake at the matzah bakery in Rabbi Akiva Street, which belongs to the community. The Rebbe made hafrashas challah, and then an event of Mezuzah fixing and inauguration took place in a new Simcha hall, donated by the generous R' Yaakov Weinreb designed for Boyan Hasidim where they can hold their Simchas at a discount.
