Tragedy in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramot Gimel : This afternoon the young scholar Rabbi Yehoshua Heitan passed away at the age of 46 after he became sick after after last Sukkot and a cure could not be found for his illness .

Previously, the name Chezekiah was added to his name for his recovery, but today he returned his soul to its Creator.

The deceased was born in Israel, to his father Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Heitan zt"l the first regional chief rabbi of Samaria.

During his youth he studied at the Beit Matityahu yeshiva in Bnei Brak where he learned consistently and was a favorite student of his rabbis and roshei yeshiva.

He married his wife, the daughter of Rabbi Eliyahu Kaufman froim the Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem, he was a yeshiva student just like in the midrash of Torah and Avodah, and a certain period also served as Rosh Kollel of the neighborhood.

He left behind a generation of eight sons and daughters, and merited to marry off only one daughter.

The funeral will leave at 17:00 from the Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem to Har Hamenuchos where he will be laid to rest.
