Vizhnitz chasid Rabbi Yehuda Leib R. Ashdod resident who was arrested last night (Monday) at the recruitment induction center in Tel Hashomer, after ignoring orders several times - was released home today at noon.
Recall, last night the scholar who teaches at the Vizhnitz Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak came to the recruiting office - after informing him that he was assigned already, out of desperation he went to consult with his mentor the Vizhnitz Rebbe who told him "Go to be arrested, just do not cooperate."
The scholar didn’t cooperate at the recruitment office and claimed that he knew only Yiddish, but after having brought him a woman who speaks Yiddish - he was detained in harsh conditions by a judge who told him it is his last chance, and if not he would be arrested for 20 days.
Today, after he was drafted, he was dressed in uniform and received a certificate of wear - the military decided he was not suitable and not well versed in the Hebrew language, and in terms of health after a doctor found that he is not fit enough, and the officer on duty decided to release him after he signed the documents.
Companion of the scholar says with the release to Behadrey Haredim: "After what happened he was not in good health condition, he fainted several times, and after signing the discharge papers they said to him in two months they will be in contact with him - and then decide what to do with him.
