The kosher cellular phone devices are in the pockets of almost every yeshiva student or avrech. As known, the device is used solely for talks and basic updates of information only, such as bus times and alarm.
Many try every possible way to find bypass numbers - such as the "nayes" lines which periodically release such numbers that can be dialed from a kosher phone, but with time they are blocked by the Rabbinical Commission for Communication Affairs.
Now it's the new thing, which drives yeshiva students who are cellular phone holders crazy the – Whatsap phone group.
The group allows the user to be a member of a kind of voice mail, which every message which one member of the group will record - will signal to all other members a call signal on their cell phones, so they can call back and hear the message and respond and continue the conversation.
It should be noted that anyone connected to the phone group can not disconnect and you can add people without their knowledge.
Non-members of the group who dial the number - will receive a normal dial tone. Each group member can open a group of his own, and get an independent number, making the task of the Commission of Rabbis impossible.
Behadrey Haredim learned that this has already caused problems in certain Hasidic circles when by using the Whatsap phone, inside knowledge and sometimes classified, was disseminated.
A famous educator whom we asked for his opinion on the matter, told Behadrey Haredim: "I am aware of this issue. I know clearly of dozens of yeshiva students that today are on a hand mobile phone, and keep on leaving messages in groups of which they are members. This requires very urgent rehab, some parents approached me with tears that they do not know what to do with their children".
