Satmar celebrated: bris for the Ger Yaakov Chaim Abramowitz
A long way for the Christian from Manchester to the bris at the Satmar beit midrash in Jerusalem • A fascinating story and gallery

Celebration on the occasion of the mitzvah of circumcision, held in the Beit Midrash Satmar in Jerusalem was 'not another one of many that take place there throughout the year'. He began to find out about it until he rolled to the residence of Hagaon Rabbi Yisrael Chaim Horowitz, Rachov Ab"d of the Satmar beit midrash in the city. After a certain period, during which he was in the shade and drew to Torah and Mitzvos when Rabbi Horowitz guided and taught the Torah and its commandments, he sent him to Israel, in order to pass the conversion process at the special court for conversion of Hgr"n Kerlitz.
During the period of study he had completed, the man began to learn for a short period in the organization approximation of Belz Hasidism. Over time, he met the Satmar's worldview he liked, and he came to the Satmar community in Jerusalem. Meanwhile, our friend managed to grow sideburns and a beard befitting a Jew.
This week, he completed the conversion process. The guy immersed his Jewishness and was circumcised by a renowned mohel Rabbi Shlomo Gelber who specializes in adult circumcisions. Satmar community held the seuda with the participation of community rabbi Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, rabbis and public figures, which uphold the strength of his personality and strength of mind of the man, and a long way to seek shelter under the wings of Avraham Avinu.

"I call myself after Yaakov Aveinu since my life as a Gentile has not been considered as 'life' at all, and only now I'm starting to really live and 'Abramowitz' is after Avraham Aveinu."
